Major League leader in total bases, extra base hits and runs batted in. Began his 23-year career with the Milwaukee Braves in 1954. Led the Braves to the World Championship in 1957. National League "Most Valuable Player" in 1957. Hit 40 or more home runs in a season 8 times. Won a pair of batting titles and was a 3-time gold glove outfielder. 24-time all star. Ninth player to collect 3,000 career hits. Hit 755th home run at County Stadium as a Milwaukee Brewer. Finished his career with the Milwaukee Brewers in 1976.
