Inscribed on plinth: Translation: The subjects of Nawanagar in Jamnagar state have organised a gala festival to commemorate the silver jubilee of the prince’s ascension to the throne. His Majesty’s reign has culminated in significant material and moral progress of the subjects. The love and care that the prince has dispensed and the labour and expenditure that he had undertaken for the benefit of his subjects are unparalleled. By extending benediction like the rays of the sun, he has secured public loyalty and established authority. Moreover, he has served the Empire well out of his position as a chancellor of the Chamber of Princes. The statue is installed to celebrate the remarkable deeds of the great man.
