Inhouse and Bespoke Training

Inhouse Training

As well as our occasional scheduled public training courses, we can also provide the full range of these courses on an inhouse basis. Specifically we offer courses in:

Each of the courses above is a one-day course. We also offer a half-day add-on to the Multiple Regression course, namely 'Introduction to Logistic Regression using SPSS'.

The facilities required at your organisation are simply a computer room with enough front or side-on-facing PCs for participants. Alternatively participants could bring their own laptops.

For the courses using SPSS, participant's PCs (or laptops) will need SPSS software installed (version 18 or later).

Likewise, for the courses using Mplus, Mplus software is required. Note that the Structural Equation Modelling course, the Testing for Mediation and Moderation using Mplus course, the Bayesian Analysis using Mplus, and the first half of the Latent Growth Curve Modelling course can be run using the demo version of Mplus, which is a free download from www.statmodel.com. For the Multilevel Modelling using Mplus course and the second half of the Latent Growth Curve Modelling course the full version of Mplus is needed for participants to be able to run all the examples.

Prices start from 1350 UK pounds for 10 people, with every additional person up to a maximum of 16 at an extra 75 UK pounds each. At this price, if you have 16 people attending, the cost then works out at under 110 UK pounds per trainee. We are able to provide training on a worldwide basis, though all courses are taught in English. Please note that the above price is a minimum, and any increase on it will be greater the further you are located from Sheffield to take into account travelling time, and travelling and accommodation expenses. Please contact Dr Chris Stride by email or on 0114 2223262 for a quote.

Bespoke Training

If there are other areas of statistical theory and analysis, data management and statistical software for which you require training within your organisation, we can develop bespoke courses for you, and deliver them either at your organisation or in our teaching facilities in Sheffield. We have more than a decade's experience of teaching basic statistical theory and methodology, more advanced techniques, and best practice in using a variety of statistical software packages, to non-statisticians from a wide range of backgrounds, particularly in the social sciences.

If you have a particular training need in the general area of statistics and/or statistical software, and would like us to develop and deliver a training course especially for you, then contact Dr Chris Stride by email or on 0114 2223262.
